The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023. A total of 14,624 candidates have qualified for the Mains Examination, which will be held in September 2023.

The results were announced on the UPSC website on June 12, 2023. Candidates can check their results by logging into their UPSC accounts and clicking on the “Results” tab.

The pass percentage for the UPSC Prelims Examination 2023 was 6.15%. The cut-off marks for General category candidates was 93.55%, while the cut-off marks for OBC category candidates was 87.75%, SC category candidates was 82.25%, and ST category candidates was 76.75%.

The Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the UPSC Civil Services Examination. It is a two-hour, objective-type examination consisting of 200 questions. The questions are based on General Studies, Comprehension, and Elementary Mathematics.

The Mains Examination is the second stage of the UPSC Civil Services Examination. It is a three-month, written examination consisting of nine papers. The papers are on General Studies, Essay, Comprehension, Indian Polity and Governance, Indian Economy, General Knowledge, Science and Technology, and Current Affairs.

The interview is the third and final stage of the UPSC Civil Services Examination. It is a personal interview conducted by a panel of experts. The interview is used to assess the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and overall suitability for the civil services.

“Candidates are also informed that marks, cut-off marks and answer keys of CS (P) examination, 2023, will be uploaded on the commission’s website i.e. https://upsc.gov.in only after the entire process of the civil services examination, 2023, is over i.e. after the declaration of final result,” the UPSC said.
